about me.

i am a New York based writer and filmmaker with a degree in English and Cinema from Binghamton University, where i graduated magna cum laude.

my love of filmmaking began in a college cinema class, where i was fortunate enough to have an inspiring female professor who believed in my artistic voice. since then, my work has been featured in the Long Youth Film Festival, The New York Monthly Film Festival, Cinema Arts Center's Filmmaker Soirée, and the Binghamton University Student Film Showcase.

i see filmmaking as the perfect cross-section of all of my deepest passions— writing, acting, fashion, and music. i love the collaborative nature of the medium, and the way it allows me to come into contact with such fascinating people with unique perspectives.

ultimately, i do not seek to make art that changes lives, but rather allows people to recognize themselves— to look at an interaction onscreen and think to themselves, “Wow, is my personal experience more universal than i thought?”

significance of the ★ in my work.

★, which i’ve adopted as a symbol of myself, appears in almost all of my films. It is a reference to “The Star,” a powerful card in tarot, which signifies good things to come. to me, ★ represents my commitment to my art, and the healing ability of art to alchemize pain into something greater.
